Charlotte Tangye

The work of Cornwall based designer Charlotte Tangye has developed through an interest in the emotional bonds we form with our belongings. Certain objects become important in our lives, their loss creating feelings that go beyond the inconvenience of having to replace them. A product’s ability to engender an emotional response can build brand loyalty, but it is also extremely important in the context of eco-awareness as people are less likely to dispose of treasured possessions.

She has been selected this year as one of Heal’s Discovers designers – an annual exclusive collection of inspired designs by students, graduates and innovative pieces from more established designers.
